Det er norske gudstjenester i Washington DC hver 2. søndag i måneden fra september til juni. Gudstjenestene holdes av en av prestene fra sjømannskirken i New York. Arbeidet er organisert av en norsk kirkekomite under ledelse av Arve Michelsen som en del av den norske sjømannsmisjons arbeid blant nordmenn i utlandet. Gudstjenestene begynner kl. 15.00 og i tilknytning til gudstjenestene er det au-pairtreff, søndagsskole og kirkekaffe med salg av norske matvarer og sjokolade.
Hvor: Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 7730 Bradley Blvd (krysset mellom Seven Locks Rd. og Bradley Blvd) i Bethesda, Maryland.
Når: Klokken 15.00 hver andre søndag i måneden fra september til juni.

The Norwegian Church Service in Washington D.C welcomes you to worship at the Emmanuel Lutheran church, 7730 Bradley Boulevard (intersection of Seven Locks Road / Bradley Blvd.), Bethesda, Maryland. Worship Service is held at 3 PM on the second Sunday of each month except in July and August. There is ampel space for cars on the church parking lots.

The Service, which is conducted in Norwegian is realized through the mutually supportive work of the Norwegian Seamen’s Church in New York, Kong Olav V’s Kirke, and the Congregation in the metropolitan Washington, D. C. area.

Sunday School is offered for children during the regular service.

The Sunday Worship Service enjoys the support of our own church choir. The choral group meets for practice every Monday night from September to June, and anyone interested is most welcome to join.

Although the primary mission of the Norwegian Church Service in Washington, D. C. is to provide regularly scheduled Sunday Worship Service, the services may include baptism, confirmation, and other functions of the ministry.

After each Service, we sponsor an enjoyable coffee and fellowship hour. Volunteer help with “kirkekaffe” (preparation/clean-up and cookie/cake contributions) is much appreciated. We invite and welcome everyone to attend.
