Norway and Sweden: an Outdoor Adventure Paradise!

The Norwegian Coastal Voyage (Hurtigruten) will have a stand with information about their Voyages in the fjords of Norway. The Norwegian Coastal Voyage is a cruise that goes along a stretch of coast characterized by vast distances, a sparse population and dramatic scenery. The Company also offers Expedition Voyages to Spitsbergen.

Please join Lena Conlan, a Swede living in Bozeman Montana and owner of Crossing Latitudes, an outdoor adventure company specializing in sea kayaking and reindeer safari trip in Scandinavia as she shares in a most entertaining way great paddling and hiking pictures from Lofoten, Saami reindeer treks and migrations, and coastal Norway and Sweden. Learn some fascinating history and view the world's strongest ocean currents, highest peaks in Scandinavia, deep fjords and majestic landscapes. All slides are from their trips. Lena has been paddling professionally since 1986 and of all the great places in the world she has been to (Alaska, Chile, Mexico, Honduras, Greece and Canada), Arctic Norway holds a special place in her heart! Speaker Biography: Lena Conlan, a native of Sweden, has taught outdoor education based sea kayaking expeditions in Alaska, Mexico, Chile, Canada and Scandinavia since 1986. As a former sea kayaking program coordinator for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), she was responsible for leadership, risk management, programs and instructor development. In 1996, Lena and her husband Tim, founded Crossing Latitudes, which in addition to Scandinavia, offers Multi-adventure trips in Greece and Honduras. Lena also works for the Wilderness Medicine Institute of NOLS and teaches wilderness first aid courses. See www.crossinglatitudes.com.
