Composer and producer Mika Pohjola, who grew up in Finland, studied in Sweden and works for the Norwegian Seamen’s Church in New York, has united Scandinavian values on his new Christmas CD, Scandinavian Yuletide Voices. “The joy of singing and preparing for Christmas is a common feature in Scandinavia,” Pohjola says. “Additionally, Santa really lives in Scandinavia, he has residencies in all five countries.”

The Scandinavian Yuletide Voices CD contains new grooving and colorful arrangements of well-known Scandinavian Christmas songs. The CD also contains songs in English and an idyllic Christmas video, directed by Minna Gröndahl. The video takes place partly in New York City.

This joint Scandinavian concert is made possible through a generous support by the Consulate General offices of Scandinavia, the Finnish Tourist Board and Finlandia Foundation, New York metropolitan chapter.
