Havnarkórið
in Concert -
featuring Teitur
in
Concert, Sunday, Oct 31st @ 1 pm
Sunday
October 31st, at 1 p.m. we invite you to
a unique cultural experience
with the well reknowned choir Havnarkórið -
The
Faroe Islands Capital Choir.
You
will experience the very best of traditional, choral and
songwriting traditions from the exotic tiny islands called
the Faroe Islands. Situated in the middle of the North
Atlantic Ocean, the island-program ranges from ancient
folk dance via the best of Faroese choral tradition to
the fast upcoming singer/songwriter Teitur.
The
choir will also perform during the Sunday Worship
Service at 11 a.m. and will present an ancient
folk dance
during the 'chuch coffee' after the service.
“The
Faroe Islands Capital Choir is an excellent choral group
with a beautiful and superbly balanced sound. The Faroe
Islands Capital Choir sings with obvious enjoyment, displaying
great precision and musical feeling. They are equally
at ease singing their national repertoire, new musical
compositions or major choral and symphonic works, such
as the masses, passions, oratorios and requiems of the
old masters."
