The Norwegian Seamen’s Church
An evening with Åsne
Seierstad - interviewed by Eva Bratholm
Åsne
Seierstads book 'The Bookseller of Kabul', its content and
method, has created a extensive debate in Norway as well
as in Europe and the United States. It has recently been
published in the US and we are happy to invite everyone
interested to an evening with Eva Bratholm and Åsne
Seierstad at the Norwegian Seamen's Church. Eva
Bratholm is currently working as a correspondent in New
York for the norwegian newspaper Dagladet and is well known
in Norway, not the least for hosting the program 'Bokbadet'
at NRK (the Norwegian Broadcasting Cooperation) - interviewing
authors from Norway and abroad. Åsne Seierstad is
a freelance journalist and author who traveled to Afghanistan
in 2001 to work as a war correspondent for Scandinavian
press. She has received several awards for her work.
This evening you will also have the opportunity to hear
the Afghan artist Rohani play the traditional
instrument Rubab. After the program there will be a reception
sponsored by The Royal Norwegian Consulate General.
